Esther T. Hansen O'Donnell
August 8, 1922 - June 7, 2006


Esther T. Hansen O’ Donnell, 83, of Nottingham, PA died on Wednesday, June 7, 2006 at the Jennersville Regional Hospital, West Grove, PA.

She was the wife of the late Harry N. O’Donnell and was preceded in death by her first husband, Carl N. Hansen.

Born in Mendenhall, PA she was the daughter of the late Newton A. and Charlotte Hunsburger Taylor.

Esther lived most of her life in Nottingham. She was a member of the Nottingham Presbyterian Greenstone Church, where she was a member of the choir. She was a member of the Lancaster County Sportsman’s Association, Mt. Nebo, PA, the Freemont Grange, Republican Committeeperson for West Nottingham Township, and the PA Farm Women. Esther was also a soloist and sang in the Men’s Choir.

She is survived by three sons, Floyd W. Hansen of Ridgecrest, CA, Carl N. Hansen and his wife, Patricia L. of Nottingham, and James A. Hansen, of Nottingham; three daughters, Edith W. Zartler and her husband, John A. of Port Deposit, MD, June H. Frey and her husband, Fred H. of Quarryville, and Anna H. Lawson and her husband, Robert D. of Columbia, PA; thirteen grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren; four brothers, Newton A. Taylor, Jr. of Cochranville, Robert N .Taylor of Landisville, Edward V. Taylor of Glasgow, DE, and Howard Taylor of MD; three sisters, Edith Taylor of PA, Dorothy Capizzio of FL, and Eileen Scott of AL.

A memorial service was held at 6 p.m. on Monday, June 12, 2006 at the Nottingham Presbyterian Greenstone Church, 497 West Christine Rd., Nottingham, PA.
